X52Pro joystick is better than X52 and not wobbling?
-
Hello Pilots,
I like my x52 hotas, I like its shape, the buttons, like nearly everything. But what I hate when rolling and precise control would be required. I tried everything and by now got fed up. FPM is wobbling and after many landings occasonally I still blow up. I would like to have words from a pilot who experianced the same problem with x52 and upgraded to Pro. Is it any better? I do not want warthog with its ugly switches. The x52 joystick has the best ergonomical shape for me. So the question is: x52pro joystick is better or the same or only more expensive? Thanks in advance! -

Thanks in advance! It’s still the same gimbal system. Back when I was still using the X52 I made myself a spring tensioner and replaced the magnets in the stick in oder to reduce the wobble around the center (spring) and get better input (magnet)

Same system, but the feel is much more solid. There are a few other benefits as well, but going from X52 to X52 Pro was like night and day for me, even though so much was still familiar and the same.
+1 for the magnet mod and spring mod ideas - I’m not sure I understand your specific issue with the non-pro X52 and have read your post a few times… Any flight stick will benefit from a good configuration which should include setting minor deadzones to be sure no axis is actuating in a base/default state where you are not moving it. The Pitch and Roll axes can tend to have quite a bit of play the older the stick gets, but even new out of the box, could require a minor deadzone to be sure you are truly “zero input” when not touching the stick (or other axes).
For smooth motion, IMHO nothing beats original Chapstick
Cheap, lasts a very long time, and don’t need to glob it onFor magnets, you need to disassemble your HOTAS following some guide - best tip is to get a pack of various size neodymium magnets, and test it out before screwing it all back together - you may want to double up on magnets or move up a size, so having options available for when you have it cracked open can help - something like this pack

Watch the video, ask your questions about how to do it!
Good flights! -
mine sometime after a dogfight is totaly out of neutral so i use alt+c and J to recenter the joystick . of course you need to leave the joystick neutral (and the aircraft free … )
