Why are these selling (used) for such high prices?

VKB Gladiator – apparently just US$150 new
https://vkbcontrollers.com/?product=gladiator-nxtBut I see them selling on ebay, used or open-box, for $200+ … this person is asking over $400…
https://www.ebay.com/itm/224572163300What am I missing here?
Is there just a huge delay/backlog in shipping, from the manufacturer?

What am I missing here?
That ebay price is free Fedex priority courier shipping included and manufacturer price does not include shipping cost. That HOTAS Fedex Courier from Japan to North America for example could run you easily $200+ and and much, much higher depending on the type of shipping you pick. The ebay seller is probably covering his worse case courier cost.

What Icarus said.
Also, there was a peak of demand with the pandemic, plus a shortage in production. Many people took advantage of that of that and started to ask A LOT of money for flight-sim stuff. Be patient, look in other used pages/apps and you will find good options for good prices, as now many people are selling theirs because of going back to work and/or not really using them.

Well I finally broke down and ordered one … the website says “in stock” but they also say it ships direct from the factory in china, so not sure what “in stock” means. I’ll try to remember to post back here once it arrives.

Good choice. I also ordered one a couple months ago, the NXT Standard. Total with shipping to the US was under 180. Best stick ever, only one that truly mimicks the feel of a real aircraft control. You’ll understand when you get it.
