Custom Views Not Executing
-
I’m hoping someone will confirm I’m formatting the code correctly and appending it to the correct file.
Per page 8-51 of the BMS Technical Manual, I added the following code (which I captured using .gvd in the chat box) into the 3dckpit.dat in the specific folder for the Block I flew. In this case, I flew the Block 15 F-16B in the Navigation TE.
So, Falcon BMS 4.35\Data\Art\CkptArt\F-16B-15.
// My Custom views customview 0.006597 0.041011 -0.000000 5.015659 -28.622484 0.003966 20.000004 “Right MFD” 1; customview 0.005376 0.041497 0.000000 2.449983 -16.861660 0.000000 30.000002 “DED” 1; customview 0.100000 -0.040523 0.000000 41.439976 -36.277725 -0.023712 20.000004 “UFC” 1;
In sim, I hit CTRL+6, and then ALT+6, ALT+7, but the custom views do not activate.
(BTW, is there supposed to be a Custom 3D Pit Mode De-activated message when I hit CTRL+6 again?)

Hi,
I think you are using wrong quotation marks: try using these " " instead of these “ ”.And yes, there is a “Deactivated” message.

Hi, Vandroy.
I got the views to work: I’m using the correct style of quotes, but like a bonehead, I didn’t think to try removing the semi-colons from the end of each line – I was strictly following the instructions in the Technical Manual. :shock:
So:
// My Custom views customview 0.006597 0.041011 -0.000000 5.015659 -28.622484 0.003966 20.000004 "Right MFD" 1 customview 0.005376 0.041497 0.000000 2.449983 -16.861660 0.000000 30.000002 "DED" 1
And I see the De-Activated message now.:p
