Solved Ice's Helios Profile & 3D Cockpit
-
Hi guys, I am using Ice’s Helios profile for BMS4.35-10 for U3 and I’ve been having problems using it with a touchscreen monitor.
I’m extracting Ice’s cockpit to my 2nd monitor ( a touchscreen) which I’m running at 1920 x 1080. As soon as I get into the 3D cockpit and start flipping switches in Helios, I notice the corresponding switches and dials in the 3d cockpit are not being switched/turned on which ends up with a lot of stuff not being turned on during -start-up. During my last mission, it got so fouled up it resulted in my NWS button on my joystick not functioning anymore during start-up and I was unable to taxi.
I read on an older post that you had to change to US keyboard before launching Helios although I’m not sure that would explain how most of the Helios switches are not responding in the 3D cockpit.
Any suggestions?

The Ice Profile 4.35-10 works fine with U3.
Some areas don’t work with the latest Helios 1.6.5013, there’s a bug in it - the next Helios version will fix that.
It sounds like your keyfile is the problem, try going through the setup guide again.
If you normally use a Non-US keyboard it is essential that you implement the changes outlined in the Non-US Keyboard Guide.

@mosquitoe if you are using the BMS-Full.key file in combination with the profile be aware that it has been completely replaced with U3 update which might cause mist profile switches not working anymore
-
@oakdesign I was afraid of that. I think Ice’s latest version was written for U2 and U# might have broken something
-
@mosquitoe as I said the one thing that got replaced with U3 that can cause issues with Helios Profile is the BMS-Full.key file. Nothing else with U3 has been update that could cause a Helios profile to break
