Maybe it’s something in Windows 10. The Cougar software on my Windows 7 PC recognizes the stick/ throttle.
I was afraid of that. Oh well.
-
When I was still using the cougar I had to do the “retrieve / apply” dance before it was detected properly (USB version). In CCP, I had to click “retrieve settings from device” and then “apply settings to device” after every reboot.
All the best & HTH,
Uwe

I have the same problem with my Cougar. I shut down my computer and then turn off the terminal strip that supplies power to the computer. This turns off power to the USB ports. This apparently cause the cougar to shut down. When I turn the computer on the cougar does not reconnect and I have to pull the USB plug to the cougar and plug it back in and then everything is fine. I also have to recalibrate the cougar.
That might be your problem -
Hi all. I have the same problem. I don´t know why but I think there is a problem about the calibration profile name. But is a really random problem for me.
-
Me too, it was random before … it even didn’t want to “communicate” via USB3.0/3.1 ports , so I’ve had to use old USB2.0 port when !programming the stick or use with CCP.
It was even on USB3.1 active hub … reading/using the stick was ok , but just CCP and Foxy didn’t like it.
BUT, … some time ago … 2 years? don’t know … time passes… I tried just for show and it worked just like that… wtf… even via hub. … from then , never problems.
Probably after some win10 update … I was given up on the case and it repaired just by itself.I “suspect” it is/was one of the Win10 and driver thingy… as my USB3.1 ports are some “ASMedia” controller??? (Asus board) … but transfer rates are OK , as advertised.
Old USB2.0 ports are on Intel controller , so never problems with them.
…
Maybe you can disconnect all your devices , make complete USB cleanup … there is that NirSoft little tool for that USB…something
So, cleanup all your devices,… basically delete them from machine like they never were connected… then plug them 1 by 1 and install as necessary …Sorry, as I’ve said , no one can really help you with stuff like this. as … every machine has it own gremlins,
Cheers

Update: I no longer turn off my computer or the the terminal strip that powers it. I now put my computer in sleep mode and just click on the mouse to wake it up. I don’t have to restart the joy stick or recalibrate it. Everything is ready to go flying. @chopper27

Heh, good for solving with workaround - bad, as is it not supposed to be like that.
Once calibrated and programmed there shouldn’t be need for stick … to be powered at all, or connected, … to remember calibration/program.Now, recently we were talking about something old you may:
https://forum.falcon-bms.com/post/347051See this line:
USE HWSTARTUP (EMULATION_ON, AXIS_MODE_USER, CALIBRATION_MANUAL)
Did you program your stick ? Do you have this line in the top of the program ?
This is advanced and need to read manual/readme which came with Foxy… Can’t say about TARGET , never used it. -
@white_fang
Yes I have that line in Foxy. -
Ha! great…, as this line FORCES program and calibration stored internally …
Technically, after that you can plug the stick even to Xbox or Playstation, and it should work as programmed.
Stick can be set aside for how long and on connect it should work as it was.
…
But still the same, loosing calibration on power-off ?Beats me… it shouldn’t (happen) but yet it does. HW/eprom error? don’t know.
Anyways… tried.
Cheers.

Yes I have that line in Foxy.May I suggest ensure power save is off for the device? If not mistaken, control panel…admin tools…computer management…human interface devices…check usb and your stick/throttle devices properties for power save. Hope it helps.
