Solved Radar Elevation Wheel As Rudder
-
Years ago, I was using a HOTAS profile that mapped the rudder to the radar elevation wheel as I had no pedals then. This allowed me to steer and taxi the Viper on the ground flawlessly.
Right now, I am using TM’s pedals but am not a big fan of them. For 4.35 U3, is anyone using a keyfile with a similar function?
Thanks!

@mosquitoe you don’t need a keyfile for that. Just define your rudder steering in the advanced controller UI to the antenna elevation and you’re good to go

@bvt_9 , I thought about that but I would then lose use of it as actual radar elevation once I’m airborne, right?
-
@mosquitoe yes, you would. I always found the radar elevation wheel way too sensitive for setting the scan elevation, so I mapped elevation up/down to the sym button on the left MFD. I personally use the stick for NWS on the ground.

@bvt_9 , that’s a great suggestion as I hardly ever use the Sym button on my TM MFDs. Thanks!
