4.36 Fuel gauge bug
-
When you turn the fuel knob on TEST, sometimes the fuel needles will go to zero (totalizer correctly shows 6000) and sometimes they will go to AL :2800 FR: 3200 again totalizer correctly shows 6000. When the latter occurs the needles get stuck there and don’t move to correctly show the fuel on the other fuel knob modes. When the first case happens then the needles move correctly on the other fuel knob modes, only the test mode shows wrong with both needles on zero. Also some times the wide part of the FR needle that is to show imbalance is on the left side of the needle and sometimes it’s on the right side. And the RED wide part of the AL needle sometimes it’s wide and sometimes it is the same width as the rest of the needle. I am not at my pc right now to upload pics, but it is easily reproducible at the training missions 1,2 and 3 where for me it was always the second case and on AAR training mission where both cases happend after starting and exiting the mission and starting again. I will upload pics tonight.

At pics 3 and 4 above the needles show the same amount of fuel but the wide part of the needles is inverted in FR and narrow in AL. Hope the above helps. I know it is not a priority bug. The fuel totalizer seems to correctly show Test and consumption of fuel as time passes.

@danaos75 In which F-16 variant do you see the problem ?
-
@Leech I will check tomorrow but it is the default F-16 that is on those training missions. I think a two seater f-16dm-52.

I just ran the checklist and the numbers are about right. Granted if you are in a two seat F-16, the numbers are going to be a little different or if you have conformal tanks
I also checked with a 2 seater and i did not see it get stuck when going through the test.
Here is what it should be testing with a single seater
Test: FWD/AFT fuel low lights ON; Total: 6000 lbs; A/L - F/R: 2000 lbs
Norm: A/L: 2675/2810 lbs F/R: 3100/3250 lbs
RSVR: both 460/480 lbs
Int/Wing: both 525/550 lbs
Ext Wing: both 2300/2420 lbs (if 370-gallon tank carried) ; both 3750/3925 lbs (if 600-gallon tank carried)
Ext Ctr: F/R 1800/1890 lbs ; A/L 0 lbs -
@cougar56th the problem is not about the numbers that the needles show. The design of the needles change (wide part from left side to right side, red wide part from wide to narrow) and when the needles go to the 2800-3200 position then they get stuck there even when you switch the knob to other positions NORM, RESRV, etc. Sometimes they both show 0 on the TEST. It happens very often on the training missions it happened again today on AAR refueling with the heavy jet. Am I the only one with this problem?

Hi. Happened yesterday to me also, Balcans campaign (don’t remember which one), block 50 C model, Casale airport.
