Can Helios send key combos ?
-
Looks like we are slowly running out of key combinations on the keyboard. I experimented with sending a combokey combination from Helios to BMS like this:
SimFuelDoorOpen 311 0 0x41 6 0x2E 4 1 “FUEL: AIR REFUEL Switch - OPEN”
BMS Setup/Controllers give me an “No function assigned”. Any way we can make this work or is there another way to use more keyboard keys?
Help is appreciated.

@Bikeman Yes Helios is able to send keyboard combos. Helios profiles wouldn’t work to well if it couldn’t. When do you see that ‘no function assigned’ message?
-
@Bikeman I think Helios sends callbacks and not necessarily key combos? But Ice’s profile can make it display FPS, isn’t that a key combo?
-
@Atlas Helios reads the combo key of the Callback that is defined and attached to the Helios object. When a sendCallback is executed Helios actually presses the key combo associated with the Callback

@Todd1215 Helios is also able to directly send Combo Keys. Look at Interfaces->Keyboard->Send

I am trying to use this key combo:
BMS recognizes only alt-c , but not the following ctrl-alt-f7 when I open the fuel door in Helios.

@Bikeman Oh yeah that’s much more than what I expected. Yeah Helios can’t utilize the Alt-C combo key. It can just send normal Combination keys. I thought that was what you where asking.

@Todd1215
OK tnx. Too bad though.
