4.36 key file is exporting some callbacks as unused
-
Hello pilots , I had a hard time trying to figure out why Helios wasn’t able to see two callbacks. The two I was having a headache over are the two below.
When I export to a keyfile these two callbacks look like this:
SimExtlMasterInc 116 2 0xC8 3 0 0 1 “EXT: MASTER Knob - Step Up”
SimExtlMasterDec 116 3 0xCD 3 0 0 1 “EXT: MASTER Knob - Step Down”The third part of the exported callback is a 2 or a 3 in this example which is why Helios couldn’t read these callbacks. It just skipped right by them as Helios ignores any callback that the third part of the callback isn’t a ‘0’. I’m not sure why the keyfiile Editor is exporting these two callbacks like this.
The BMS Technical Manual says that the third section of the callback isn’t used and should always be a ‘0’ zero.
This is just an informational post as well as one for the author of the keyfile editor to maybe look in to.
