ATC traffic lock

Hi Dear BMS,
I would like to share this experience. I build a TE with some flights just to create a situation close to real operative airport in galatina
BMS versione 4.36, theater Balkan.
A KC-10 has to departure after a F104 flights (4 ship). Unfortunately the KC-10 spawn in a a way that the taxy way is full covered and the F104 flight cannot reach the runway… see the attached picture . So all the traffic remain locked.

@gundam Other contribution, hope this help. The KC10 once setup as first flight has some difficulties to take off from galatina, because the runway to short.
he make a turn and after taked off in a very unusual behavior…far from reality anyway.

Guess it’s realistic.
Please note that in real life AMI Galatina is not supposed to be an operative airbase, but an (advanced) training one.
And the same (correctly!) it seems to be in Falcon Balkans too.
So it’s not the best one to host any kind of heavy airplanes, I am afraid.
Why don’t you try to choose another operative one more fit (Gioia del Colle or Amendola, better), instead?

Yes i choose an Eurofighter istead of KC-10
Landing on this runway with F-16 for me is a challenge anyway. i always goes just a little outside it…despite i try to put down my nose as late as possible to exploit air break effect

My pleasure only, dear mate… I am Italian, so I am supposed to know such kind of matters, I guess.
About landing at Galatina, though… when I asked (much time ago) to some friends of mine that base’s topics, they referred to me no particular issues to mind about the procedure. No wonder about that, it’s a training base, so it’s assumed to be in some ways “easy” to be handled, after all.
So that seems weird… I will make some test on my own in the following days, anyway, you made me curious.If in need, please always feel free to ask and I will try to answer at my best.

Fine, mate.
I made my own takeoff and landing tests at Galatina with two Vipers (-50 and -52).Well, nothing weird to remark about landings, in particular - except for the runway a little short for a powerful plane like the Viper, maybe. It has been made with prop little training planes in mind, after all, but our MB349 won’t suffer for sure.
