AI will abort and land immediately if no player has taken a seat?
-
From the 4.36 changelog:
*For human controlled squadron:
AI is now able to spawn, taxi and take off, however, they will abort and land immediately if no player has taken a seat after takeoff.
if a player is leaving an aircraft, AI will take over and bring back the aircraft to base (force RTB) and will not engage.*
Just asking, what is the rationale for this?
I can see why it would be wanted in some cases, but the old behavior had its merit too.
It’s always been a big feature that you could play BMS RTS style and frag flights, without necessarily need to man them.
Think AI Escorts for your manned flight.
Or hop in a flight that is already half way.
Or get back into your flight after a connection problem.
…So what do you think?
@Devs: Any chance the behavior could be made server configurable? -
This is very specific for TvT events…
You shouldn’t really use it unless you’re hosting such event.

@MaxWaldorf
Yes, that’s where I see it useful.
But the changelog seems to imply that it has been changed for everyone. Did it not? Is it already configurable? -

@MaxWaldorf
Ok, got it, so it is configurable. Thanks.
The changelog making no mention of the config option confused me.
