Training mission 6: ILS in bad WX - RW 13R in use
-
My apologies in advance if this is my mistake but I am having some problems with training mission 6.
If I start the mission and get the ATIS it reports RW13 in use with wind 180/37G52. This is makes the approach to 31L quite sporting with by calculations a crosswind component of 28kts and a tailwind of 25kts before gusts I have to use DRIFT C/O to keep the ILS visible in the HUD. Also ATC won’t respond to reports on final etc I guess due to the RW in use. If I setup and fly an approach to RW13LR ATC behaviour is normal. Again my apologies if this is an error on my behalf.

@Mack_F4 this is known … I believe plan is to reduce speed and change wind direction, in the next update
in the meantime, it certainly makes for a fun challenge … getting wheels on the tarmac is just half the battle – keeping the jet straight with crosswind pushing on the tail, is the other half!

@airtex2019 I managed to pull of the approach and landing but it was dicey to say the least!
As a temporary measure I saved the TE and edited using weather commander to a wind more inline with the training manual, just required manual tuning of radios and nav aids but worked well.
Edit: If like me as a temporary measure you decide to save and edit the TE using Weather Commander the aircraft fuel will also need to be reduced using the TE editor. Otherwise tanks will be full and approach speed around 180kts, makes stopping on the runway interesting!

This training is bugged and fixed for U1. Already discussed here: https://forum.falcon-bms.com/topic/22277/sorry-please-am-having-problem-with-the-ils-bad-weather-training-bms-4-36
Cheers
