Ultrawide Monitor resolution configs
-
Hello people!
i’m trying to deal with a ultrawide LG 29WK600-W monitor with a native resolution of 2560 x 1080, and when i try to run BMS on 2560 x 1080 i get this
and when i try 1920 x 1080 centered i get this
with two black bands on sides.
So… need hint and tips to use it seeing my entire panel.- It is possible to configure FOV on the “2” key as i can in “3”(3d cockpit view)?
What you guys are using in ultrawide resolutions?

@Arsenius
I have that monitor and I use 2560 x 1080 with:
set g_fDefaultFOV 75
set g_fNarrowFOV 40
Which seems about right for the normal 3D view. I don’t think you can change the 2D views though I could be wrong. -
You have to adjust your FOV in Falcon BMS\User\Config\Falcon BMS.cfg (or Falcon BMS User.cfg if you don’t want future updates to reset it)
What I did on my 3440x1440 monitor is to first set this:
set g_fDefaultFOV 80
set g_fMaximumFOV 180
set g_fFOVIncrement 1Then, I went in-pit and started scrolling up or down slowly, counting one step at a time, until I found an FOV that works for me.
After some trial and error and some test flights, I finally found that for me, a default FOV of 95 works best, so I changed it in the .cfg and haven’t touched it since. -
