TE mission impossible to build
-
Hi all ! I’ve updated to U2 and now I’m having problem to built a TE mission. The flight plan always comes out not flyable (path in red) because speed value in every steerpoint is fixed to 999 kts CAS. Even the training missions (KTO) always used with old version, now are out of work. I’ve tried in different ways and combination, even setting correct speed, but nothing change. Any idea ? Thanks in advance

TE mission building works perfectly fine here. Can you be more specific about what type of aircraft/mission you are trying to create and the steps you do to generate the CAS locked to 999?
Check that the takeoff time is no locked and you aren’t asking for a locked TOT that is unachievable.

@DUSTOFF17 Thanks for help. The mission is a very standard F16cd-52 Kotar Range from Gunsan AB, pre strike AAR, 20min in range and back. It’s exactly the same mission I used many times so far, so the timing and speed are known and tested. Now, making other test, I’ve notice that the problem get on with my Janhas F16-52 model, using standard planes, TE mission builder works perfectly. Now, I’ll try to find some other way to use that model. Thank you mate .

We don’t really support JanHas work, so please make sure you are doing on stock first and report then (modding can have wierd effects)

@Coral36
It’s been my experience to check the following in the offending steerpoints:- The TOS: Make sure each is on the same day, and the time lapses between steerpoints make sense, i.e. it doesn’t take either three hours or 30 seconds to go 30 miles.
- I’ve found that when a steerpoint’s altitude (ALT) is over a certain amount (say 18,000 ft–I’ve not nailed down the exact altitude), TAS/ CAS need to be tweaked upward. (I guess you have to fly at a faster speed to maintain the higher altitude.
)
- If all else fails, just start over with a new flight.

Ain’t saying that my report rapresent a bug of the sim that, endeed, it’s almost perfect. In fact, as I said above, the cause is out of the program. I’ve never used funny mods ‘cause I know some mods may have weird effects but Janhas models are always really accurate and works without problems. That’s it, hopin’ this won’t rapresent kinda issue for anybody…

@Crassus Thanks a lot for your aid. Actually my problem is due to an third-party F16 flight model; with std ones it works perfectly. Cheers.
