BMS 4.36 U3 : Auto-Pilot No Effect Issue
BMS 4.36 U3
Auto-Pilot : ATT & ALT button can switch but no effect… -
Are you able to provide any more information? My AP seems to be working as intended in U3.

@oneeast00 Which plane(s)? What theaters?
Every F-16 and F-18 in stock KTO I’ve flown, seems fine.
Gear up? Flaps norm? Not hitting the AP/trim-disconnect switch somehow, by accident?
-
Hi,
I once had the same issue. It was caused by one of the below checklist items:-
- GEAR - UP
- AAR - CLOSED
- FLCS - ALL FAULTS CLEARED
- AOA - LESS THAN 15 DEG
- DBO - NOT ENGAGED
- MPO - SWITCH NOT IN OVERIDE
- ALT FLAPS - NOT IN EXTEND
- TRIM/AP DISC - SWITCH NOT IN DISC
- STALL - HORN SILENT
Regards
Dram -
MPO switch. You hit ‘O’ accidentally on your keyboard?
-
@oneeast00 Did this ever get resolved? I am seeing similar issue in any TE, Flight.
I’ve checked all these and none of them apply.
GEAR - UP
AAR - CLOSED
FLCS - ALL FAULTS CLEARED
AOA - LESS THAN 15 DEG
DBO - NOT ENGAGED
MPO - SWITCH NOT IN OVERIDE
ALT FLAPS - NOT IN EXTEND
TRIM/AP DISC - SWITCH NOT IN DISC
STALL - HORN SILENTI also see the AP switches in the pit move to their respective positions when I either press the correct key sequence or by flipping the switches mapped on my HOTAS, so there is no disconnect there.
-
I also noticed a similar thing with Balkans: I didn’t understood why the AP couldn’t be activated
what was surprising, each time I tried to activate the AP, the throttle moved slightly in reduced position then returned to its initial position…
I m going to try to investigate if I have done anything to cause this…
-
hello ,
have the same issue .
rgds .
-
Really need a repro case to be able to investigate this further.
AP is working fine in TE, TR and campaign here.
-
@oneeast00 I ont have an issue with Ap, make sure you dont have a binding which is permanently keeping it disconnected. also it is bound by speed aswell.

no issues here

@oneeast00 I had this issue a few weeks ago. The switches in the cockpit would move, but with no effect. The problem seemed to happen randomly.
The solution was: I had configured the PADDLE SWITCH by mistake to another switch on my stick. So, by activating that one, the PADDLE SWITCH would always be active and AP would not work.
Check your buttons assignment configuration thoroughly.
-
Well we’re unable to reproduce so we’ll archive it and see if that pops up for future versions…
-
…I got this problem too…after recalibration of my stick the problem were gone? Perhaps this can help?

The AP engaged always offer the possibility for the pilot to use the stick
So if your stick has a non calibrated neutral position then AP will always deviate indeed

Obviously the AP doesn’t like inputs from stick…

everyone remember [alt+C][J] to recalibrate-center your stick, in flight
especially useful if you have deadzone=none for pitch/roll axes (for a nice light touch while doing aar)
