Warthog Parts

A general question to the community: Has anyone recently (Mid to late 2022 time-frame) contacted Thrustmaster Tech Service for replacement parts for the Warthog Stick & Throttle??
Just checking to see if contacting TM is worth it, before reaching out on eBay to the good gentleman from Canada to have my throttle’s PCB fixed.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers,

@JollyFE If your throttle is still under warranty, then it is worth it reaching out to TM. I think if the PCB is your problem and you’re out of warranty, then your options are 1) buying one from TM (if that is possible), 2) buying a new throttle, or 3) buying an old one and using that or cannibalising it for parts.

I contacted them several years ago when my throttle stopped working. I was past the warrantee time. They were willing to sell me a PCB with no guarantee that it would fix the problem. They said that connecting it would require some soldering.

Thanks to you both for the replies…
@TeeSquare What “stopped working” on your throttle? And Is it safe to assume the new PCB fixed the issue??

@Todd1215 Thanks Todd, and yes if TM doesn’t respond to my Tech Support request then the Gentleman from Ottawa is Plan B.

Thinking ahead, is there someone in the EU performing this service?

@JollyFE I got a new pub from thrustmaster sent to me, it worked fine and have had no issues since.

I have already “used up” two warthog stick bases. After a year or so of heavy use the wires in the stickbase show wear (in the part where they are in the plastick ball and rub against the plastic) and finally the plastic on the wires wears off showing the bare copper wires. This creates all kinds of false contacts and the stickbase becomes unusable.
Sending the stickbase in for warranty does not help much for the problem itself. The shop where I bought it, sent it to Thrustmaster. When TM hadn’t returned it after three months, the shop refunded me. So I bought a new one. It is a pain going through all the hassles, specially replacing the base in my simpit. Luckily the bases are just a bit over 100 euro. But this problem shouldn’t occur at all.
Another point where I needed TM service was when one of the springs in my TM rudder snapped. Again it took many months and I had to send in my old broken spring to receive a new one. I received exactly 1 replacement. Thought they would be more helpful and send a few as spares, but no. Luckily I found usable replacement springs on Aliexpress and bought a bunch myself,
So al in all TM service isn’t always helpful and it takes forever for them to react.
