Is BMS supposed to look like this?

I have a pretty decent system with a RTX 3080 and 1440p monitor, and I have the correct resolution selected in the sim. Is this how it is supposed to look?

@robmypro oh eww no not at all, you are supposed to set AF to 16x. Your graphics card can handle it. World of difference. You’re welcome!

@robmypro it’s a little odd there are no clouds … but certainly possible weather

that band of permanent haze that’s always ~40 miles away isn’t as noticeable, on a partly cloudy day

Set AFx16 from Nvidia driver panel, set Texture quality to High quality, set Nvidia driver AA settings to application controlled and then in BMS setup Graphics set Multi sampling to quality 8.

I advise to enable Image Sharpening in the NVIDIA Control Panel for a better rendering
I put 0.8 for Sharpen & 0.2 ignore film grain

@spotdott normal , it seems that NVIDIA removed it in the recent versions but you can bring back the missing Image Sharpening feature in Nvidia Control Panel.
I did …and it works fine

The compression of the screenshots is altered in putting them on Imgur but I can guarantee you that there is a clear change in the game.

how to describe this change? it’s just less blurry or smooth …check the hills on the horizon and zoom

@Mav-jp it’s excessive! of course we can always do better…but BMS is making a spectacular recovery if we compare the first screenshots done ten years ago

Maybe crop the offending areas with Photoshop and upload it to imgur without any resizing?
