Help with LOD Editor
-
Hi guys,
I recently just got back in the SIM world of flying and was surprised to see how “rusty” I am. Anyway, I am trying to launch LOD Editor 6.23 but I get an error. It happens when it points me to select the Korea.Obj which I do but the message is
Error
Hdr Array #4 Overrun.
I even changed the dll file that was recommended to change for it to work with Windows 10 which was mfc71.dll. I did try running it before changing it. I backed up the old one just in case and tried the new one. Any help or another LOD Editor that will work with Windows 10 Pro 64 [Bit).
Also is there a version of DDS viewer that is newer than the one that I have from the early 2000s. I would really like to implement my old Skins on the Plane and some new ideas that I have.
Thanks in advance. -
@sparrowGR LOD Editor is no longer compatible with BMS. The only way to use it is to have an older version of BMS installed like 4.33. Open LOD editor with 4.33 files.
You have to extract your 3D database using the 3DDB builder which is in the tool folder. Once you do that, open LOD Editor like I said above and then you can open the extracted LOD files to make edits.

@cougar56th Oh, I see. Do you know what is an alternate one? I really would like to change the skin of the Korea Falcon 4 Original. Kind of crappy…Thanks for this

@sparrowGR there should be a excel spreadsheet that says which textures go with what models in the docs folder.

@cougar56th I have noticed people upvoting. I wanted to upvote you but I could not find out how to. Can you help me here?

Cool, thanks! I just upvoted you. It is kind of hidden right? -

Cool, thanks! I just upvoted you. It is kind of hidden right? The first time you use the forum it may be somewhat hidden, but the second time it is intuitive, the structure of our community forum is quite well organized. I’m still going to give you one of my valuable LIKEs, so use it wisely.
Greetings.

@cougar56th Thanks, I see what you mean. In other words, unless the LOD Editor is updated to recognize the latest version of BMS, I have to use the old, edit the skins I want to change, and then transform them in the latest version when done?
