Manual Range Knob BMS 4.37
-
Hello everybody.
I have one WINWING HOTAS ORION 2 F16 EX . I have installed the BMS 4.37 now. After some tests I found one issue that not happens in version 4.36 U3. The Manual Range Knob doesn’t work despite properly mapped.
I guess that this new version has some bugs, for example with ECM. Maybe this problem I have is one of them.
If somebody here can help me to resolve this issue, I would thank very much.
Sorry for my English…Thanks a lot!

@AMOP1970 The MAN RNG/Uncage knob on the Orion can be configured to act as an axis or rotary encoder in the SimmAppPro software. The switch itself is an encoder, so every click is a button press CW or CCW. If you switch it to act as an axis in the software it may work. I’ve been meaning to test it but haven’t had a chance yet.
Hope this helps. -
@Wicked I have the ORion2 with F16 handle kit and I can say that you can map the MAN RNG knob as an axis without issue. The only thing I see is that the axis is slower (more precise) than using the CW CCW callbacks.

@Todd1215 Roger that. Which means a lot of spinning! Lol awesome, I’ll make the change then.

@Todd1215 It would seem possible to simply use the button press callbacks for for ManRange/Uncage CW and CCW or left/right (whatever they’re called) so that when you turn it, it presses the button one time for each click. Will try and report back.

That fixed it! Setting it to an Axis did the job and the rate of rotation in the sim is perfect at the default.
