Simseat Callbacks in VR
-
I am not able to adjust the seat up or down in VR. When I place the cursor over the seat switch, I can see the switch moving even to hear it, the seat though does not move. In non VR mode it works as advertised. Am I missing something, or seat up/down movement is not yet implemented in VR mode?

Anyone?

@koskar12 the VR head position when you reset it is in the correct position for the pilots head. I’m not sure why you’d need to change it? But yeah it doesn’t work for me in VR either.

Thank you SOBO-87. I agree that by reseting VR view gives a correct head position, but during landing I like to have a higher seat position. But this is just me I guess.
-
@koskar12 Can you not “sit up higher” physically in to get the same result in VR?
-
@Atlas Yes, this is what I actually do, but Ineed to readjust/recenter the VR headset, by lowering my body in my Akers Barns seat. It is not a big deal and I am not complaining at all. I hope that in future updates the seat movement would be implemented in VR mode. But for the moment it is not so important as is the HUD issues.

@koskar12 Yes, agree on the HUD issue!! But for the seat height, in reality, the pilots adjust this at the start of the mission to get to the correct eye point. I doubt that they adjust it during flight like to see better over the nose as you describe. I could be wrong though?
If you have the correct eye point in VR (which should be the case by default), and then sit up to get better over-the-nose visibility, and later on sit back down, why would you need to re-centre VR? Wouldn’t you be back in the default correct eye point?

@koskar12 If you find you need more visibility over the nose on landing, are you flying approach with the FPM in the middle of the AOA staple in the HUD? Generally you fly the approach with the the FPM lined up with the top edge of the staple and then only bring it to the middle during the flare.

@Atlas Yes, but I prefer to reset the VR view instead of having a less confort position of my body. But as I have said this is just me and my no means I say that this is a common practice in RL. Thank you for your suggestion though.

@SOBO-87 This is a good point, because if I fly the approach with FPM in the middle of the AOA bracket and correct to 11 to 13 degrees during flare the visibility is Ok and there is no need for resetting VR view. I think that my question about seat hight adjustment functionality has been cleared and thank you all for your inputs.
