I always wondered, as a programming challenge, if it would be possible to enter the 3D world and perform a Ramp Start-- from cold dead jet to ready-to-taxi-- using a single VoiceAttack command.

Slowly but surely, I built up a single action command that does everything except moving the INS knob to NAV when alignment is complete.

If anyone is interested, here’s a link to an Excel worksheet detailing the process…

      https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1QN1iLSjgmbSDRXLrx0o_5k1X5nCaSvPF/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=103587896249403193829&rtpof=true&sd=true

Keep in mind, however, that every time Falcon is updated, this action command-- just like your Falcom BMS User.ini, your KeyMapping, etc., would probably need to be adapted to any changes that come.

So I can only say that it works for Block 30 to Block 52 jets (at least the ones I tested it with) for 4.37.2.

It’s fun to watch. You just sit back and enjoy. My voice command is “Rock and Roll!” 🙂

I have nothing but respect for JanJan. I’m just a programmer who loves to think up challenges and wanted to see if I could do it. I’m not in “competition” with anyone. My approach has several “personal voice messages” because I wanted it to appear friendly and supportive to the user.

This exercise was beneficial in several ways. First, I learned more about ramping starting that I expected because during development I ramp started more than 100 times. Second, I learned more about VoiceAttack than I expected because of the demands of this personal challenge.
