LOD Editor appends the same LOD # all the time
-
This is getting really frustrating and downright annoying.
I’m trying to append new LODs via LOD Editor using the Model/Texture setup: regardless of whether I choose to append or select an existing Parent (doesn’t matter), after choosing “Append/Select LOD1” (and subsequent lo-res LODs), the same LOD number ends up allocated to each and every LOD within that Parent: #7373. Every… single… f***ing… time.
Am I doing something wrong here or is my LOD Editor broken? The version I’m using is 6.23.
Any assistance would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

- ACTION: APPEND MODEL
- Select the LOD you wish to add
- Click YES
- Note the LOD number in the dialogue box.
- Put the new LOD number in the parent you want.
- If you need a new parent choose APPEND PARENT RECORD
7. Note the new parent number

@ChrisBV Check the KoreaObj.LOD. I have similar problem when file size is the bigger from 2GB! I try to modify toms koreaobject folder with janhas models and other modders’s Models in recent months. I checked 3 times. When File size > 2GB, Lod editör loads all last lods as latest lod.

@ Pumpyhead:
That is the procedure I’ve been following.@ gizemkar:
My KoreaObj.LOD is barely 689 Mb in size - nowhere near the 2GB limit.Cheers!

Maybe I am misunderstanding. Are you typing the correct LOD number into the parent LOD boxes?
-
Hi Pumpy. Yes, I am. I will try using a different/freshly downloaded copy of LE and report back

When you say “parent LOD boxes”, you mean the first screen where you have buttons labeled “Normal, Repaired, etc.”?

You’ll need to paypal for that information, dude.
And - PumpyHead is NOT cheap…!! I know. I used to pimp him out.

No.
1. Type in the parent number in the box labeled NORMAL
2. Click on the NORMAL button
3. The boxes I described are under the “LOD Index” section. -
Necro’d. Having the same issue now, can’t append LODs beyond 8129. Does anyone know if that’s the hard LOD limit?
-
Not 100% sure but rings a bell.

Well that sucks. What have you fellow modders and modelers done to circumvent it? Used un-utilized parents and LODs?
