@dave76 I’m not sure but this kind of confusion is mostly the result of confusion about the new Launcher overriding the BMS in-game Setup UI.

ok ,so is better if i programm through the launcher ?

@dave76 you are free to choose, but the key thing is to understand it’s one or the other.
if you don’t use the new launcher, you have to be careful to never use it, else risking it overwrite all your key, button and axis bindings
unless you have a key file you already crafted yourself (or obtained here or from someone else) I’d recommend to embrace and use the new launcher, to setup everything

@airtex2019 does the launcher change the chosen file or just the BMS-Auto file? Do, I need to change to the correct file in game. I’ve had some weird behavior where no matter the file I choose in Launcher, changes seem to applied to the Auto file.

You are confused. (Not your fault – it is confusing UI.)
Choosing a key file in the new Launcher is just importing stuff from that key file. Really wish they’d gone with a standard “File / Open” menu or “Import” button to make that clear. (Why reinvent the windows file-picker dialog? It’s like 1 line of code…)
The alt launcher will always write the results to ‘BMS - Auto.key’ and it will also update your {Callsign}.pop file to reference ‘BMS - Auto.key’
It also updates/amends ‘DeviceSorting.txt’ and ‘Falcon BMS User.cfg’ to align with the key/button numbering written to ‘BMS - Auto.key’

@airtex2019 finally makes sense. Thanks
