Unsolved Question about landing on Airport in the night - no light on from the base
-
@Mav-jp Hi Mav. Itis very difficult for me because i have no video card in the server.
But i will try anyway if it is important. I will let you know.

After several tests I can give a kind of final verdict.
perform the same test with the features described above but with (-noreder) without rendering 3d image.
negative result do not turn on the lights. Then I returned the server to the 3d rendering state (-norender) but this time starting the server in the daytime and they didn’t turn on either.
After different variants and tests, the following conditions always turned on the lights.
server rendering 3d image (-norender off)
change the time with the MC, so that it was at night, 1900z
server squad in hiroshima, c17 squad with HQ control.
The server package was created 5 minutes before takeoff, so it leaves in a taxi
An interesting fact is that if I meet the above conditions, even rendering the image (-norender off) and I set the server time after sunrise, the lights do not turn on, so it must always be set before sunrise, the time must be between sunset and the dawn
-
@VIPER-0 interesting Viper! I will try as soon as possible.

@gundam hq control…mm. if is it human doesn’t work?

GUN I am keeping all the test constant as I can except the one I modify to see the result. If I start touching everything I lose the thread and I don’t get any conclusion. Now I have an idea of when the lights always come on. Now then I will try different variants. What is clear is, until now. server rendering 3d image, time between sunset and sunrise and server plane 5 min before takeoff (taxi condition) so the lights always turn on

Hi Viper.
Clear. I am going to reproduce the same set of parameter y identify. I will let you know.
My question, just to share, is because i tried the same set of parameters expect the HQ control, in my case it doesn’t works. So i was thinking that the specific step “HQ control” was a key success factor
But i will try.
Ciao

@gundam Hi Viper All,
In my scenario replicating the parameter as Viper described dosen’t work. Just i want to underline a little difference but at this point could be important. See below point by point.
server rendering 3d image (-norender off) --> Ok the server was without norender option.
change the time with the MC, so that it was at night, 1900z --> ! in my case i tried already in the night so i do not used MC to change time(!)
server squad in hiroshima, c17 squad with HQ control. --> Yes the same. I had a c-130 but i think it’s the same…
The server package was created 5 minutes before takeoff, so it leaves in a taxi --> yes the same.
After from the client (my PC) i created a flight and started in taxy (seoul a sweep of 1 ship). No lights on the airport. Even after request taxy on the Uniform.
I miss the step with MC.

So I understand you had no lights on client after asking taxi
Was the lights off on the server as well ?

@Mav-jp with no video card i can’t check this…if i open the window iconized the server risk to be in freeze. Anyway i can check and in the case restart. I suppose no anyway but i will try…

Sorry to tell but I will repeat it
I think you are all loosing time with this bug here
Without the information I ask , we are totally clueless
That information will be the start of the debug process. As long as we don’t have that information everything else is rather irrelevant .
-
@Mav-jp The server is in taxy with no light on airport. i verified.
-
@gundam So just to resume.
server dedicated (VM in Cloud) with flight in taxy Hiroshima. C-130. Night time.
-
KTO campaign Rolling Fire
-
3D rendering ON
-
airport light at Hiroshima is OFF even with server asking for taxy out (if needed i have image)
-
C-130 Squadron controlled by HQ
-
New flight created F16-Block 52 in Seoul (Human squadron)
-
Created the flight 5 minutes before take off and request for taxy done
-
no airport light on Seoul
If other test is needed i can try to do my best to do it.

@gundam I can provide even CAM file but i think is not usefull because if i use the same file on my PC as dedicated server i already see the airport lights work (at server flight - so hiroshima airport).

So you are saying that you can reproduce the issue on your server in VM cloud systematically but never on your own PC as server , same file , same parameters , is that correct ?
-
@Mav-jp correct. Exactly this. I have the campaign running and each time i restart always the same. Airport light off.
On my pc same fil, airport light on.
I think i am going to turn crazy for this

@gundam in my VM server the lights never works.
-
@gundam vm server has surely no gfx card…
-
@MaxWaldorf Hi Max. Yes, I can confirm. No video card. I had to wait two minutes hang before to see the hud. but at the end i see it and i press " \ " to see out from external view and confirm that the runway was with no lights at all.
-
@Max Do you mean to have Airport lights on the server need to have gfx card? If so, this could be the reason for my scenario behavior. I never had the lights ON in the VM dedicated server

We will provide a special exe for you to test o your server with some debug info
