@dave76 A very good reference for Joker - Bingo Calculation can be found at the previous -1 from 4.35 (https://wiki.falcon-bms.com/en/manuals) chapter 1.7.9. Managing Fuel: Joker & Bingo pg 131.

thank you!!! but in pag 131 is anticollision strobo…i knew the old manual that used 15/20 lbs/nm but does it take into account drag index ? not sure about that…

When I was part of a squadron, there was a rule of thumbs between 15 to 20 lbs / nm + minimum + divert + contengency…

Obviously, you can push that to 25 / 30 if low and heavy…

How does it work? I’m an engineer but I simply do not get how should work and it provides totally uncomprehensive data.

To me is far simpler simply open the F-16CJ supplement and check the cruise charts. 🙂

Well the OP did not ask what is easier for you. The OP asked for “any fuel calculator program” and this is a tool for calculating fuel.
I don’t use it for the same reason as you pointed out but that’s just the way it is. 🙂
My fuel calculation is based on what is written down in the Dash-1.

What is reliable; In the end it depends on the pilot and how you control.

The Interactive Maps will calculate “A” bingo based mostly on the recommended material here and uses your flight plan to return to home-plate. Drop a TE.ini with flight or Callsign.ini and click the Compass icon and then the Mission tab for distance, fuel, time and bingo values.

It is a good number for your missions.

@dave76 The BMS Kneeboard App has a very basic Bingo Fuel Calculator, and it’s a free app on the google play store - I keep it on my tablet while I fly:

                                @SemlerPDX -

My experience is that a conservative calculation based on 25gal/mile plus 3,000 for overall overhead (minimum, alternate, A/A engagement, etc.) has always served me well.

But when flying with my monkeys, they can sometimes uses incredible amounts of unexplained fuel, so I’ve learned the hard way to let them have the BMS Loadout recommended amounts, even when it’s much more than I would need.

@dave76 It is for Android and possibly iOS tho not sure on that one - my Samsung Smartphone is certainly an Android device, and I have it loaded on there. I also have it side-loaded onto my Kindle Fire tablet.

Wish I could help, but I don’t know anything about troubleshooting apps and Android and all that stuff.

@dave76 WDP is awesome, and you should use it, but afaik while you can use it to preset a lot of things such as the BINGO, I’m not sure it has a fuel calculator, which is why I suggested the (dated) BMS Kneeboard App and while it has other features that are likely deprecated due to the current version of BMS, the calculator is just a basic ‘input some values and get a value in return’.

@dave76 Well, that is something you could troubleshoot or contact support. That is an Android phone running an ARM-64 bit SoC and more than capable. I’d look up this specific issue (“can’t install an android app”) with the keywords of your phone (“Xiaomi Redmi 9”) and see who else has had this same issue, and what they did to overcome it, if anything.

DON’T BRICK IT! Cross reference tips and tricks before trying them, ensure your phone is backed up, or literally have support walk you through what should be done - don’t ever assume, and be careful as you go.
