I have a question regarding hud symbology colors.
I saw in few VTRs that HUD symbology was white (no its not a B/W VTR). I wonder which squadron or block version use white hud symbology.
Can pilot via adjusting DTE change his own hud color between white and green? Can someone give me brief information of hud colors, which squadrons/versions/blocks or countries use white hud symbology.
Besides white and green can it be orange like in DCS A-10 Night mode?
Thnx.

HUD is green. recordings from the HUD are displayed in white and used for debrief (HUD camera)

Yea I know you are right.
look also at 4:35-4:49
BUt this video confused me. But I think its also a HUD cam. For a second I thought that white hud is possible instead of default green where it cannot be changed or modified and best suitable for Mark-I eyeball to pick up the symbology

Well, yeah, it’s a HUD cam, just in colour.
AFAIK the HUD cam isn’t actually recording HUD symbology. All the data are recorded separately and displayed on the recorded image. That’s why it’s white.

on dcs a-10, when you shift to night mode HUD becomes orange. Cool. Like BMW.
whereas in falcon it dims. it would be cool if it changes to orange though. -

Hi MudDog,
I was set back two weeks because of RL: work and projectdeadlines unfortunately. I had to invest about 70 hours / week to get things going. Combined with family life: not much progress. However, of course I will finish this mod. In fact: the coloring is already finished now. What I want to include is some better reflections in the canopy when flying, so it is a more complete package. Timing: end of this week I’m going on a well-earned holiday (week) skiing in Switserland :-), meaning that within three weeks from now it will be finished.
If I find the time, I’ll upload some pics as of the current progress of this project.
There have been lots of further enhancements compared to the previous versions. I doubt, however, if one would really spot them Overall, the feel is substantially enhanced. Especially throughout all kinds of lighting conditions (the complete time-palette that is)

Great stuff, keep it up Mark, my friend!
Cheers!

Any update with this? Looks great

Hi Joker,
Yes. Today I’ll upload the next version.
I hoped to do this yesterday evening, but my little son fell ill unfortunately.
Sure hope you all like it of course A LOT of work went into it.
Still, the canopy textures are not finished, so I’ll put in the original ones and come up with my version when it’s finished.
But, for now, the community will have a finished product to enjoy.

What am I doing wrong? I downloaded the two files from the links in the first post, saved the original files for backup, copied the new files in their place, started BMS. The outside world is pitch black?! I see the scratches on the canopy in the direction of the sun, otherwise everything is black. When I exit, the fly-by does show the world in daylight.
