Is the JSOW fireable in inclement weather? (overcast, fog, rain).
AND
Do you need the TGP to fire a JSOW? -
IRL the JSOW is GPS guided so weather will not make a difference. The TGP isn’t necessary to fire a JSOW as all you need is a STPT target to fire upon. Of course you can use the TGP to fine-tune the target position if necessary.
All what is said is less relevant to BMS because currently the JSOW in BMS is considered a Maverick-like and so not modeled so good.

Out of sheer curiosity I’ve just flown a harbour strike mission which I edited and replaced the previously assigned LGB’s with JSOW’s and a pair of MAV’s (the TGP was removed in the process), and changed the weather to inclement. I approached the target below the cloud layer, so I could have at least some visibility. I rarely use JSOW’s so I had to recollect the principle of their delivery. I-Hawk is absolutely right, they are modelled very much like the MAV’s. Not only do they need some startup time, but also provide a weapon page of their own so you can get a visual on the target. But it is entirely possible to use the ground mode of your radar at a higher resolution to select a target.

JSOW/JASSM will guide perfectly well through weather in BMS. I think even Mavericks will.
