F-15 and F-22 taxi / takeoff lights
-
I don’t remember seeing this subject raised before, so if I’m rehashing and old issue, I apologize.
I’m flying stock KTO, Rolling Fire, flying out of Gunsan, w/ human control of a F-16CM40 squadron (the 35th).
I often assign F-15 and F-22 flights as air support in my packages. (I added an F-22 squadron to Gunsan w/ Mission Commander).
When I start a mission, I often go to ‘satellite’ and ‘outside’ view to observe the location, progress, and taxi status of my supporting flights during the T/O process.
I’ve noticed in night missions that the F-15s and F-22s taxi in the dark without taxi lights. When they take the runway, they turn on their takeoff lights. So their taxi lights are not used, but their takeoff lights are used. I don’t know if this occurs in other non-F16 planes or not.
Is this a bug, or an item not yet addressed, or…???

The 3d models don’t have taxi lights…

@SoBad As I understand it, it’s a ‘not yet implemented’ situation.
They are both using older models that don’t feature the split taxi/takeoff style light parametres. As the models are updated, this feature will become a reality -
