4.37.0 to current version without uninstall?

I want to update from 4.37.0, but the updater.exe tells me to download a new updater version. Falcon_BMS_Downloader.exe tells me that my BMS was installed with the legacy installer and refuses to update my Updater.exe.

Falcon BMS_4.37.3_Full_Setup.exe tells me that I already have BMS installed and asks if I want to uninstall (I don’t). And I cannot find the 4.37U1 incremental update anywhere.

Do I have to uninstall everything now?

This requires you to know a bit about registry editor…

In a text file (e.g. bms-reg.txt) put this:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Benchmark Sims\Falcon BMS 4.37]
"curPatch"="0"
"curUpdate"="0"

Then rename it: bms-reg.reg and execute it…

Also, remove the old key “Update = 0” from the registry if you can…

the updater will also need to be updated with the downloader…

@MaxWaldorf I tried it, didn’t change anything about the refusal to update. I uninstalled and reinstalled.
