I am using Morphine’s profile and Warthog key files. The key file says Shift F11 and Shift F12 is used for zoom in and out in the Outside world views. I tried it, and nothing happens. I have Morphines key file activated in BMS. Any ideas how to get the zoom in and out features both for outside world views and the 3D cockpit views? I am using Track IR, and can zoom in the cockpit by moving forward, but is there also a key that will do that?

If you have keystrokes.key active, it’s the L key. If you have BMS.key active there is no assigned key, but you are looking for “View Look Closer”. Suggest you look down the list of assignments for this description and assigned your prefered keystroke. This is a toggle though, On/Off with only one level of zoom.

OK, the mouse wheel does absolutely nothing. I found the “View Look Closer” and assigned the “z” key. That doesn’t work either. I see in Morphine’s profile BMS.key file that Shift F11 and Shift F12 are for zoom in closer and zoom out. Those don’t work either. Any other ideas what I might be doing wrong?

                there are 2 zooms:

                • FOV: works in 3D cockpit (assign to axis in HOTAS, for example, rotary or antenna elev wheel)
                • ZOOM: works for external cameras (assign to mouse wheel)

Not sure how to do that Don. I am a novice at this whole thing. How would I assign these things you mentioned, and what is the exact name of the FOV command you are talking about for the zoom? I saw multiple commands with FOV in them.

                    Hello Greg
I have BMS installed on laptop - seems by default my mouse wheel zooms view in and out as I have never configured it. In game when I go to Setup -> Controllers -> Advanced I can see that in the View Controls page I have both ‘Field Of View’ and ‘View Zoom’ both set to ‘Keyboard’. Clickable 3D Cockpit Default is the only ‘set’ (green box)option ‘TrackIR Vector Z Axis Control’ is set to ‘Z Axis Control’ even though I do not use TrackIR. Perhaps match those settings as a starting point? Make sure you select correct View Mode by hitting ‘3’ in-game for 3D Cockpit view, if you are in View Mode ‘2’ then it will not zoom for me with mouse wheel either.

                      Are you using Morphine’s profile?

I just reloaded Morphine’s profile and the Warthog-DX.key file, and now I have zoom! Thanks for all the help, guys. Now, on to trying to learn this wonderful aircraft.

It is great that you got it sorted out.

It is like Jetlag mentioned. In Controller-Advanced Options - View tab, there are the axis to map for FOV and ZOOM. select them accordingly (zoom mouse wheel and FOV maybe the axis… you have to deselect it from the Antenna Elevation function in the Avionics tab… Morphine’s guide has this selection:

let me know if you need more help. cheers!

I use morphine profil…TrackIr 5 and the mouse wheel does not work
                              … I just do wrong…
adjustment : View Zoom - mouse wheel
Enable 3d Cockpit TrackIr - green
                              Enable TrackIR vector - green
Track Ir vector Z Axis Mode - Z axis Control

Edit : Zoom - keyboard = functional MW
