Radio volume knob

I think that I had read that there was a problem with the volume control knob and was wondering if a fix for it has ever been made. Mine still does not visibly turn up or down when I am trying to adjust it.

As far as i read it cant be fixed without remaking the cockpit so its been put on hold.
