DeeJay's Voice Activaded Commands (VAC) Profiles

Is there a way to keep the AI and AWACS radio chatter from causing VAC commands? Sometimes when I have VAC active AI comes on the radio and my view changes. It can be pretty annoying. Also, I am using a single mode with SST X52 and DX shifted. I can’t seem to map the VAC arm to a button without it ruining the buttons shifted command. Anyone know about this or how to fix it?

It looks like I am not going to buy VAC after the trial period is up. I turn it off and can’t map it to a HOTAS button anyway. I don’t see a point in paying for it if I have to have a keyboard button to turn it on and off. If I leave it on the AI and AWACS initiates VAC commands, especially changes views. If I could map it to a HOTAS button I would reconsider. Maybe I can leave it on and delete only the VAC commands that I really need, then use wording that the AI or AWACS don’t use.

No idea about Saitek but it works fine mapping it to a HOTAS button with the Cougar. See my post above:https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?8323-DeeJay-s-Voice-Activaded-Commands-(VAC)-Profiles&p=112029&viewfull=1#post112029

Did you map it to a DX button or to a HOTAS software button? I already have my COMMs HAT to control COMMs unshifted and to cycle radar submodes shifted, all through DX. I tried to map VAC to the same button as UHF so it would do UHF and VAC but when I map VAC through SST to the UHF HAT it breaks the UHF callback as well as all the other ones on the HAT. I have read that you cannot map VAC with DX. So, it looks like I am forced to either use an unshifted button for VAC which will then ruin the ability to use that button shifted for something else or use the keyboard and adjust the commands so the AI and AWACS don’t initiate commands.
I am not using SST software shifting. I am using DX shifting. So how do I assign VAC to a shifted button when it doesn’t see DX commands?

Looks like the links to download are down again and the one included in the game directory when converted to vap give me an error upon import. Anyone have a fix or a copy of darkmans profile to share or repost? Do these work for voice attack or only the other program as that may be my problem? Thanks.
-
Never mind i just altered one that was on line to my liking. Thanks anyway though.

Hello Darkman,
The link does not seem to work. Any ideas?

The link (from 2012) was for BMS 4.32; VAC profiles for BMS 4.33 are included in your installation.
Go to your \Falcon BMS 4.33 U1\Docs\Key Files & Input\Device Setup Guides & Profiles\Voice Activated Commands folder

Awesome Darkman!
You guys are the best!

Having trouble activating VAC (Using Deejays QWERTY Profile) - its a VAC issue not BMS as I can’t get it to output any keystrokes to Notepad…
I’ve set up an ARM PTT Key which works in test (Illuminates in Test pressed) AND it seems to recognise the appropriate voice phrases…(mostly)
BUT it WON’T activate any keypresses…
In test mode I get…“phrase recognised but arm was not set” and if I run the program I get no output to Notepad…
It obviously recognises I’ve pressed the PTT key or it wouldn’t illuminate the button in the test screen…or know to listen and recognise the spoken phrase…so why can’t I get it to generate an output?
Cheers for the help! -

VAC is dead bread.
May I suggest FoxVox : https://forum.falcon-bms.com/topic/21078/foxvox-free-voice-control-software-for-bms

@Dee-Jay Am aware of Foxvox, currently using it, I used VAC some months ago, before the trial elapsed, it recognizes my voice very well, that’s why am still searching for it. Want to purchase but the site is down. Thank you

I have one activation left, then after, VAC is dead. As far as I know, there is no more support.
-
@Dee-Jay Alright… Thanks Alot DeeJay.
-
@Dee-Jay Doesn’t make any difference mate - it won’t be able to activate cos the site and server no longer exist. I’ve just done a PC upgrade and reinstalled everything and all I get when trying activation is a script error.
Such a shame - Ron was supposed to be sorting something out for us customers for when he closed down, but he didn’t.

Recognition is not handled by the programs you describe (VAC or FoxVox), but by the Windows Speech Recognition Engine itself. This is independent from any voice control software including VoiceAttack.

You can still get VA on Steam
Marc…

@Marcq12 VoiceAttack is not VAC (Voice Activated Commands).
They are different programs.
-
@SemlerPDX Unfortunately it isn’t quite as simple as that - there are differences. I worked for ages with the Voice Attack devs trying to get it to recognise my commands, but it really struggled. dwVAC was always perfect for me, though - recognised everything I said with no issues.
They all use the SAPI 5 engine, yes, but there has to be other differences, otherwise I’d have never had to give up on VA after having bought several payware add-on packs for it. I’ve used dwVAC since Windows 7 and have about 20 profiles for it that I made for sims and games - all worked just great.
