Full cockpit suggestions

Hey y’all!
I’m new to the forum and BMS. I played 4.0 on my PC with a crappy joystick back in the early 2000s. Loved the game! Fast forward 20 or so years, I’m now retired from the USAF and I teach AFJROTC at a high school.
I just had an old F-16 flight simulator cockpit (yes a real one) donated to me from an Air Force base! It has all the switches, joystick, throttle, rudder pedals, seat and helmet with mask. Some of the gauges, the mfds, and the HUD are fake, non-functional. There is no computer or monitors with it.
Not having the $2M to buy the stuff to make it operational like it was, I do want to make it usable again. On a budget so, I can go for an expensive gaming pc and wrap around monitors. I think I’ll have to replace the original joystick, throttle quadrant, and pedals with ones that will work with a PC. Don’t know if it’s possible or feasible to try to wire up the originals. Probably will go with 3 4K monitors to give the semi-surrounding effect.
Thoughts???

@JammedUp send me a Private message here. I teach high school aviation (not associated with AFJRTOC though). I also was a medium fidelity cockpit build to lower now but have a some collaboration, activity, and funding ideas too. I also know of someone that did that with a donated cockpit.

@JammedUp
Best suggestion is to sign up with ViperPits and they can help you out for sure!
Do you have pics of this donated cockpit? -
If you want to replace the flight controls, be sure to sell me the rudderpedals
Seriously, KEEP them and use them! To make them work is no whichcraft, by far not!

@JammedUp
The rightmost icon is a way to upload a picture. Just remember that there is a limit on the filesize that you can attach.
