Acmi not working
-
It’s highlited in launcher. When pressing acmi in game setup says not activated. Control panel switch won’t toggle. Pressing f does nothhing that I can see. Don’t know what I’m doing wrong
-
@rotorspeed Selecting the
-acmi
option in launcher, means “record acmi continuously from the moment I enter 3d”I don’t know what the command or cockpit callbacks do, if you try to turn it off. Presumably nothing?
oh I see, this is posted in Documentation … yes, the docs could be more clear about how this works.

@rotorspeed check your BMS/User/ACMI folder.
If the button on Launcher is activated it will record as soon as you enter cockpit. No button or switches need to be pressed in cockpit.
As for viewing acmi with 4.37 BMS now by default records to the acmi file format and not vhs file format. acmi files cannot be opened by the ingame viewer. Either you download the free Version of Tacview (highly recommended) or you switch BMS back to record in the old vhs format through cfg option -
@oakdesign so when I press acmi within the game before I choose camping and such it says not activated. Is the file stored in the falcon bms folder?
-
- you activate it only on laucher
Recordings will be saved in
for these recordings you cant use the ingame ACMI viewer
either you download tacview to view ACMI
https://www.tacview.net/Or to use the ingame ACMI viewer you would have to add
set g_bTacviewAcmi 1
to your Falcon BMS 4.37/User/Config/Falcon BMS User.cfg file in order to activate the old recording format of .vhs files again which I do not recommend. Better stay with .acmi file format and use Tacview software to review acmi recordings
- you activate it only on laucher

@oakdesign thanks for the help
-
quick question are labels not available in bms, i have them highlighted in game. alt doesnt do anything
-
@rotorspeed For the QWERTY keyboard, Near Labels toggle is: Alt ~ and Far Labels toggle is: Alt 1. Far labels can only be displayed if Near Labels have already been activated.
-
@oakdesign how do I just record when I just want to
-
@rotorspeed map a key or button to
SimAVTRToggle 115 0 0x21 0 0 0 1 "AVTR: AVTR Switch - Toggle ON / OFF"
I think it’s
F
by default.I basically tie it to master-arm … I make it part of my fence-in/out check, along with countermeasure program and jammer settings etc.
-
@airtex2019 thanks again. I just don’t see anything on screen say recording or hear a click so I was wondering
-
@rotorspeed if you want there’s an overlay text you can enable … but it’s a little big, red and glaring
set g_bACMIRecordMsgOff 0

@oakdesign ; thank you I had the same problem not understanding what to do I installed tacview and all is good now Greetings
