Hi guys, I got a TE mission created by a friend, emailed to me, it was compressed with 7z, I transferred it to my desktop as a zipped file but how can you transfer it to BMS TE file within the game so I can fly it. šŸ˜•

It needs to be UN-ziped (extracted) first and then placed into the right Campaign sub folder, normal the ā€œSAVEā€ for KTO, ā€œKoreaā€ for KOT, etc

Be sure to extract to a folder…preferable on your desktop. Take all the extracted file and place them in ā€œFalcon BMS 4.32\Data\Campaign\Saveā€ folder.

Hey Dracfalcon, unzipped file to desktop, into a new file reads (extension) .TAC, but just one folder, open BMS 4.32,\Data\Campaign\save folder and inserted it as one folder, it did not show. It appears I have to open the folder with a TAC program can you recommend one, free if possible?

You need to copy the files into the folder dracfalcon indicated
                  not the folder.

The .tac is the mission file
You can open this with the best free software available: falcon BMS šŸ˜‰

EDIT: if you copied the file into the bms folder start bms and click on Tactical engagement.
Select saved and it should be in the list.

As Snowman says, copy all the files in your folder to the folder I indicated. I believe there will be at least three files.

Hi guys thanks for the many responses but I’m not sure I’m doing it right. I unzip the file and get one ā€œiniā€ folder and any attempt to open it, opens notepad. So I must be missing a step. Running win 7 64 bit if that makes a difference. As I understand it there should be at least 3 folder in the file.

there should be a .tac , .twx, .ini files within the folder if not ask your friend to rezip the files then do as suggested here and you should see the mission in the saved section of the tac eng

WeakLink - As Nija suggest, your friend did not send you all the files. Normally, you only need the ā€œiniā€ file if your friend is hosting the TE and you are just joining in. But in your case, if you want to fly the TE by yourself, you will need the files stated by Nija.
