      Hello guys,
I’m from Poland from Warsaw Military Technology. I’m with friends building F-16 sim Falcon Pit. A few days ago we buy used Cougar and I have problems with stick. Buttons don’t response to any actions.
Throttle buttons and all axes works perfectly. I tryed to solder new PS/2 connector but ther isn’t any effect. On Windows joystick manager butons from 1 to 18 are falshing or doing nothing. I cant’s reset flash because trigger doesn’t response. I replaced shift register in stick PCB and nothing happend. 😞 😞 😞 Here’s video from windows joystick manager:

Did you install drivers before plugging in the hardware. This is a important first step when setting up the Cougar. If you haven’t installed the drivers, you can get them here along with the software and manual…http://ts.thrustmaster.com/eng/index.php?pg=view_files&gid=1&fid=3&pid=50&cid=1

Without having tried it, I will tell you that I have heard that there is no way to properly configure the Cougar with windows joystick tools.

        Also, lots of help here…http://cougar.flyfoxy.com/

You can use a warthog stick with cougar throttle. Just need to purchase TUSBA adapter.

Or you could use Uri_Ba’s Arduino Cougar Throttle adapter with some electronic skills and fewer bucks 😉

For the Stick too, Hempstead has a whole faulty Cougar’s PCB solution.

I replaced board from stick with my project. New stick board has two MCP23017 and it’s connted with Arduino Micro with Joystick library. Throttle and axis are working on original Cougar board. Stick is working on Arduino Joystick.
