Wheelbrakes acting strange
-
After long time no flying I started my Cougar again with BMS.
Since I have no rudder with toebrakes I entered the callback for wheelbrakes to a (shifted)button on my Cougar HOTAS.
This all works well until I keep on the brakes a little longer, then the brakes stay kinda locked when I release them. Just as if I hold on the brakes, but I don’t. It does not happen occasionally but everytime I keep them on longer.
I can release them only by applying brakes again.
Is this intended like they stick in real life(meaning they run hot when I hold them to long)?
If not could this be a sticky button(It is a shifted button on the Cougar)? -
@Big_one this is almost certainly a stuck dx-shift
with the dx-shift, you have to carefully release buttons in the reverse order you pressed
Press shift
Press brake
Release brake
Release shift -
@airtex2019 exactly why you shouldn’t have your roll trim on a shifted button if your using something without a trim hat.
But I would have never done that…

@Quasi_Stellar for me it was the speedbrakes stuck open … to maximum extent, even while landing
it’s a BMS quirk everyone runs into at some point
