Great work @101-Spyder and Dust, may I include your work in our main thread?
It is great to see people collectively working on Gibraltar! I wish to hear feedback from all of you so we can continue perfecting it.

Great, great work guys.
Thank you very much

Thanks a lot!

@Maru
Yes you can include it in your main thread.We will continue this work. There is still data to be added to this database. You are welcome to use our work. Thatās the beauty of this Falcon BMS community!
Thank you for your support.

Hello all,
I am having issues making WDP recognise Gibraltar as a theater.I am using:
BMS 4.37.6
WDP 3.7.24.232I put the āGibraltarā folder into Weapon_Delivery_Planner_3.7.24.232\Database, as per the instructions.
Yet, in WDP, I cannot select Gibraltar from the Theatre Dropdown list.
-
@Kiwi In the WPD database folder, in addition to the file you put with the airports, you need 3 or 4 more files, including the map of Gibraltar so that WDP recognizes the theater.
-
@Kiwi
In order to have your (new to WDP) theater included in WDP. you will need to add some files to the ā¦\Weapon_Delivery_Planner_3.7.24.232\Database Folder. For Gibraltar, you will need to:- Make a āGibraltarā (no quotes) folder in ā¦\Weapon_Delivery_Planner_3.7.24.232\Database
- Inside your new Gibraltar folder, you will need to make 4 new files:
a) Theater.xml - each Theater has to have a unique āIdā, and āBaseā identifier, to differentiate it from other Theaters. Use the next number after the largest Id/Base # for all existing theaters. To find that, youāll have to look at each Theater.xml file in that database folder. The Id and Base for Gibraltar can be the same value. Look at any other Theater.xml file for the other parameters you will need to add. Most you can get from Mission Commander (using your Gibraltar te_new.txt file in MC). See this thread for how to obtain all the map parameters.
b) Areas.xml copy what is written in one of the other theatersā Areas.xml but make them specific to Gibraltar:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <Areas_Gibraltar />
Note the space after the Theater name and before the />
c) Countries.xml List all your countries in the same order you have them in your theater. Each country gets a Country Num starting with ā0ā and an Id starting with ā1ā See another Theaterās Countries.xml file for format and examples
d) Airports.xml This one is a PITA to do. For each Airport/airbase in your theater, you will need to include all the data for the airport. Each airport gets an Airport Num starting with ā0ā and an Airport Id starting with ā1ā See an example form another theater. I had a huge spreadsheet I used for doing Mideast128ās airport.xml, but it became too painful to keep it up to date.
You can get away with not adding much to this file, but of course the airport info will not be correct. Whatever info you donāt provide, WDP will attempt to get it from your BMS install information but it isnāt likely to be ācorrectā.
e) GibraltarMap.png color picture for WDP
f) GibraltarWhite.png White map for WDP.
Wish it were easier
Regards,
-
@Kiwi Hello, we plan to add a fix in the next theater update to make so that the WDP is available and operational for everyone, but we cannot appropriate anyoneās work, and without the permission from @101-Spyder and his team we cannot add their excellent work to the theater and add that fix for the WDP.
In any case, with the information that @Tomcattwo has given you, it should work without any problem.

@Apolo27
Apolo27 : Are you a member of the Gibraltar Theater Dev team with Maru?
You can PM me. -
@Apolo27
Dust and I have authorized Maru and his team to take over maintaining our original āAirports.xmlā file for WDP. This will make it easier for the Gibraltar Theatre development team to maintain this data. We are very happy to help, and we wish you every success with this wonderful theatre. You may wish to consult āMaruā about this. -
@101-Spyder Hello, yes, I am part of the Gibraltar Theater of Operations team. On behalf of the entire Gibraltar team and WDP users in general, we would like to thank you for your work and for allowing us to use it⦠I would like to tell you that we have been implementing the fix internally for weeks and that WDP is working perfectly⦠in the next theater update and now, with your permission, we will release it to the public. Thanks again and best regards.

@Apolo27
I also posted charts for your theater on my website. I will leave them online on my site because we often use our charts as references for frequencies (APP, DEP, ARR, GND & ATIS) and TACANs. If you have any changes to frequencies or TACANs, I would be grateful if you could notify me so I can at least keep my charts up to date for Gibraltar. Good luck to your team, you are doing an excellent job. QuebecAirForce.com is available for you and if you need anything, let me know.101-Dust and 101-Spyder

@101-Spyder Of course, donāt worry, if we add or edit frequencies we will let you know and we will send you the edited file so you can have your website updated, donāt worry⦠itās the least we can do⦠Regards

@Apolo27
Since today (2025-05-13), our download link for āGibraltar - Weapon Delivery Planner.zipā on the QuebecAirForce.com website now points to the source file provided by Maru. This now points to a single source (including the Airports.xml database) so that everyone can get your latest updates and avoid any confusion about the most recent file available. Thank you for including a reference to our work in your āreadme.txtā file. We appreciate your attention. We wish you all the success you deserve in the future. Keep up the excellent work. -
@101-Spyder Hello, excellent idea⦠this way we avoid duplicate links and confusing users⦠plus theyāll be able to take a look at your fantastic website⦠Greetings, mate.
