4.37.7 - Canopy Dissapears while in clouds

Hi There I am not sure if this is related 4.37.7 however, while flying in the clouds, wingman’s canopy disappears. This issue happens if wingman has a cloud back ground.
In the clip below, you can see it disappearing and coming back when it does not have a cloud in the background. -
@eerturk Ooccasionally afterburner does same. I believe it is an alpha issue with the old graphics engine or something. I wouldnt expect fix for quite a while.

Alpha sorting, nothing we can do until we rewrite clouds. For the record, 38 will have the same issue.
The issue is that clouds are too big, so it is very hard to compute which object is closer to camera (no perfect solution).

@Seifer Currently they are massive billboards right? Makes sense that it would be an issue.

They are a combination of a lot of small billboards actually

Thank you all for letting me know. How do I close this bug then, so it does not stay unsolved? Or is there a severity level that I should mark it as low?

Can you try making your wingman 2 miles line abreast, does your wingman disappear other than the fuel tanks?

@gabrielwong1991 I am playing offline all the time. So I couldn’t make #2 do that. However I have try to fly in such formation with another package, no such issue…

@eerturk err yes you can check your wingman comms menu , its called go spread , also you have move closer and out

@HaggisHero oow, then I am certainly not having the issue. I always go spread and call out “close up” 5 times for the tightest formation. Some times even 6 times. But #2 does not want to ding the paint job
