FPS???

Hi there people,
I noticed something weird lately… I don’t have a real issue with my FPS but just wondering how comes and when i run BMS in window mode i get almost the double (maybe more and with V-sync off) FPS than when i run it normally? even with setting -g5 and object detail in 31(!!!). I recall i had the same issue with ff also in my oldest cards as well, anyone knows anything? My rig you can see it in my Signature. Thanks in Advance! Have a nice day

Not really a computer guy but maybe it is due to the smaller screen which has less demands on the whole system

Might be but when entering 3d world is in 1920*1080 but in window… It is something else lurking underneath…

EDIT: I tired again googling the question and the opinions and answer are almost 50%-50% to lower or greater FPS, one answer though said that its not real 1920*1080 cause of the window borser and that in windowed mode it might use more of the CPU cores/threads (meaning for all games) thats why i get a better performance! Still it doesn’t completely answer my question, pertially maybe…

Are you saying you get double the FPS in windowed mode ?

Allso the “-g” switch has no effect in BMS.

You can get windowed-mode fullscreen fakers, if you like the extra fps. Might be graphics card driver settings, possibly something isn’t being rendered that isn’t really noticeable but gives better fps.

Well not completely double it depends. in some places maybe more! but i get 38~79 in bad weather 4*planes in Kimpo (38 on ground) in windowed mode i ve seen 49 in ground and almost120 (!!!) in air… All Graphics maxed out in BMS,i dunno… Its strange for me also. OldGoat5 has a point but how can i find what?
Settings in Catalyst Control Center though is in Use application Settings for BMS… Whenever i tried to tweak something there it just messed my graphics or sometime i wasnt even able to get into cockpit…
