4.37.7 strange behaviour link 16 part II

I’ll try to explain another aspect of the malfunction of Link16 in the F-15 here:

We (pilots of our squadron) wanted to fly a DCA mission as MFFO.
Two F-16s and two F-15s were to man a FAOR.
Originally, 4 F-16s were planned for one FAOR and 2 F-15s for another FAOR in this TE. But the cancellation of two pilots forced us to come up with an alternative variant.
To improve the overview for all pilots, we wanted to display a flight in Link16.
After all pilots had synchronised the Link-16 network, I tried to adjust the STN in the F-15 so that all 4 aircraft are displayed according to their position.
These are the STNs assigned in the TE by BMS.

I tried to enter the STN in the SIT page of the MPCD during the flight as we had organised ourselves.

1st problem: The STN of the first F-16 did not appear on the display, no matter how often I pressed the ‘update list’ button.
I then set my own STN to FM3 (which was not so easy, as the OWN DATA page had the wrong STN, no idea where it came from)
and set the 2nd F-16 to FM2.

I had sporadically tried to display the STN 65571 again.

This worked after my No. 2 STN 46672 (AI) was shot down, but 2 times.

The attempted takeover of the STN of the 1st F-16 then led to two entries on top of each other.

Only the rewriting of my own STN in position 3 remedied the situation.
I think that’s not how link16 works in reality.

clicked update…the Vipers appear

Now I cliked on the TN for the FL viper and then FM3

@Alpha From my experience with the Eagle, the L16 isn’t yet as robust as the Viper’s. You will only get your flight data, no Team or Donors. I’m thinking 3-4 more weeks till we see something new.

“Robust” has nothing to do with the fact that Eagle FDL works differently.

Hi Alpha,

Hard to understand what are you doing.
I have the impression you guys messed up big time the DTC settings and you were using same STNs. You write that

which tells me you set your DTC wrong.
Second, the fact that the update was not always showing the F-16 FL with thh 65571 tells two of you were using the same TN or this guy was too far away(?) or he was not sync with the net?

And here just to show how you can set whatever you want I inverted all positions and put myself as FM3 and the vipers as FM1 and FM2.

No, I was loading the Link16 datas in data cartridge in 2D.

This guy (F-16 #1) has not changed his STN. We were also never more than 40NM apart. He was on the net the whole time.

Perhaps I have found the solution to the puzzle.
When I am preparing to fly my aircraft in 2D, I load the data in the link16 page of the DTC via L16 plan. Before I press this button, the link16 data from the last flight are in the DTC.
If as in the case described I change as a member to another flight, I would like to have the flight plan data of this flight on the DTC.
I stay in my aircraft, select the other flight in the missions display without to click an AC and press save in the DTC.
I then have the flight plan from the other flight in my DTC and my STN is displayed. Perhaps something is running differently in the background, so that other STNs are loaded into the DTC?
I have just tested again:
2D DTC called up, pressed CLEAR, there were no STNs in the DTC display. In the aircraft I opened the Flight data page in the MPCD, there was no data of the buddies in it, as in the 2D DTC. In the OWN DATA page, however, there was the STN intended for me, although 00000 was saved in the DTC.
