Aim-9 Seeker state
-
Hi,
in our last squadron evening we all had the problem that at the end of our long mission we got a warm seeker on the AIM-9.
In several tests we noticed that the seeker seems to be in the COOL state from the very start of the mission. Even if it has never been manually selected or MSL OVRD has never been put in DGFT/MRM (entering master mode via A-A On the ICP).
The manuals state, that the initial state should be WARM and it either has to be set to COOL manually or MSL OVRD has to be switched to DGFT/MRM while MASTER ARM ist hot.I also noted, that when the coolant runs out the Seeker tone degrades but the OSB still shows COOL.

@Tomahawk ramp-start or taxi or in-flight?

Hi.
This problem has existed since BMS U6. I checked it on my vanilla installation. The AIM-9x is already cool during ramp-up. Of course, you can switch it to warm during ramp-up, but it’s still a bit strange. I think this will be fixed with BMS 4.38.Regards,

Has anyone from the team confirmed that to you?

@airtex2019 It doesn’t make a difference. It happens no matter at which stage I enter the cockpit.
