Loading screen freezes every second mission with SteamVR

Hello,

Running the game with a HP REVERB G2 in SteamVR, the game freezes in loading screen whenever I start a second mission. Any advices? Should I use OpenXR?

GPU: 4080 Super
CPU: 7950X
Windows 10

@lolziam other headset but I recommend OpenXR all the way in terms of stability.
And does it freeze on the Headset only or the whole game?

@oakdesign the image is frozen across all screens however I can still hear the game running, I’ll try openXR

@lolziam check your windows system events. I had a similar behavior lately during testing 4.38 where the nvidia encoder repeatatly crashed with event id 153 nvlddmkm.
My fix was to turn off windows HAGS no more freeze since then
