Windows 10 and thrustmaster GUI
So far the update to windows 10 seems very problem free. Only concern I have is when I run my BMS profile it loads then one of my MFDs flashes and it stops saying that one of the USB devices is unplugged, even though it isn’t. I can use all the devices outside of the GUI though…
I had the same issue with the last version of Win 10 prior to release. Both MFD’s would flash at the end of the script and end the script. Decided to go back to windows 7 where that issue doesn’t exist.
Thanks for narrowing it to a windows 10 release issue. I can wait on a fix and fly IL-2 and DCS until then I hope.
The only thing I didn’t try, was to trying running the script with the script editor vs the target gui. Doubtful it would make a difference, but you just can never tell what windows will or will not like.
**GOT IT FIXED
Apparently the issue is with how windows 8.1 schedules and uses USB devices. The MFDs are put into a power save mode because they don’t send a signal to windows that theyre being used. I turned off power management for all the USB devices in power management and device manager, but that didn’t fix the problem.
To fix, run a target profile that uses all your devices. You need to do this because it shows the registry name of each device it tries to load.
Then you have to manually edit your registry for each item and change the 1 to a 0 for energy management. Do what this link says for the registry. It works fine now.
See this link for specifics.
Nice. If I decide to go to Win 10 in the future, at least there is a fix for the issue. Thanks for the info.

On my system the MFDS keep flashing. I just run Teamspeak on startup and the problem is fixed. Darned if I know why but hey, it works!

I had the problem with Win 8.1 so carried out the steps by editing the registry for both devices, they flash but only when I’m not logged into Win 10. I just have a problem where my machine wont boot with the TM Warthog plugged in, i have to take out and re-insert the device after log on
