There is a Korean terrain texture set called “Tom’s Korea” that’s pretty good. I install it using JSGME for ease. There is also a HUD graphical mod that adds a small change to the color and visible area. But apart from those, there aren’t too many big mods apart from additional theaters.

Keep at it, ask lots of questions, and read everything you can get a hold of.

Where can i find these files? 🙂

Yeah, i’m excited to learn more. I haven’t got the plane in the air yet… So working on it… Looking at deturtials on youtube too. 😄

Oh…looks like you may not have used the Base plus U1 - U7 software. Good that you got it going.

http://tomsflightart.jimdo.com/terrain-and-jets/ Mind you that’s the terrain pack and not the models back I’m talking about (which I’m less enamored with) and read the instructions as merging folders leads to graphical artifacts. You can use JSGME if you like but it’s just a simple mod file handler and doing things manually is perfectly reasonable.

                https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?7941-Hud-projection-mod
And that’s the minor HUD improvement.

Thrustmaster doesnt automatically mean cheap shit… Probably the most common brand for the high end (price wise, not necessarily skill wise) users. Thrustmaster Cougar and Thrustmaster Warthog are pretty common sticks to use with BMS, and I dont think anyone would accuse them of being cheap shit.

Some might argue the shit part*, but definitely not the cheap part XD

*(Im pretty happy with mine though)

                            http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/downloads.php?do=file&id=4333

It’s a simple file shuffling program that’s useful for modding games that work on file adding/replacement. The idea is that you have:

                            \Game
                            \Game\JSGME.exe
                            \Game\path\texture.file (example)

If you want to replace texture.file with a modded one you would put the new one in

                            \Game\MODS\ModName\path\texture.file

Then when you run JSGME.exe there will be a “ModName” entry in the list with an arrow to apply this mod folder’s contents. It then takes the contents of folder \ModName\ and applies it to the root where JSGME.exe ran. The result is that \ModName\path\texture.file will overwrite \Game\path\texture.file.

The upshot is it makes backups and tracks multiple mods that handle the same file and so on so there’s always an “undo” button and you’re back to unmodded.

Don’t apply any addons or mods until you get your game working.

Do NOT install Falcon4.0 …… BMS is a Stand alone application. The installer only needs to know that you have a copy of the original Falcon4.0 , then it will allow you to install BMS.
