I have the disc inserted for Falcon 4 and i clicked the link to download Falcon BMS 4.32 base with updates 1-6 and it came up straight away with Winrar, as a torrent file. Double clicking it brings up a msg saying windows cant open this file, and i tried extracting it from Winrar on to where i have Falcon 4 in the CD drive but doesnt work. I then just moved it to my desktop and at the moment i’m clueless, never had a torrent file before. How do i install it?

You need to extract that file to your Documents, then run the program from there. Report back after you’ve done that so we can move on to the next step to add U-7.

Why not just download file from mirrors ?

          http://www.e-haf.org/PublicFTP/320/BMS_4.32/Falcon_BMS_4.32_Setup_plus_U1-U6.zip

          http://www.weapondeliveryplanner.nl/files/BMS/Falcon_BMS_4.32_Setup_plus_U1-U6.zip
          http://mirror.project-hardware.net/bms/Falcon_BMS_4.32_Setup_plus_U1-U6.zip

you need during installation of bms to have the falcon4 disk (NOT Falcon allied force) but not afterwards.

Tac he only downloaded the torrent file , not the installer, and he doesn’t know what a torrent file is or what to do with it.

            cns read this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torrent_file

Recommend using this link where you can find Base plus U1 thru U7.

Thanks all, i’m gona go with Dracfalcons’ link to install everything in one. I see its a rar file which i’m familiar with as i’ve downloaded mods for games before and i put them into those games’ relevant files. But with this i have nothing already to put it in, once its downloaded after extracting to say my desktop, do i just double click it and it starts installing?

Ok so i’ve installed it no probs. I loaded it up to check it out and all seems fine with the menu screen, and then i loaded up a training mission to see how it looks in game, and it looked awful, the graphics look worse than F4:AF and my PC specs can easily run this game on max settings with no lag. I’ve seen what BMS looks like on youtube but when i loaded this up, it looked terrible. Any ideas as to why? are there settings i need to tweak?

Also i looked at the TE section and saw a load of training missions, most look the same or similar to whats in the original F4 and AF but with a fair few new ones. Is there a manual to play these through? or a section of the main manual that plays these through like you have in F4 and AF?

What is your graphics setting under the setup tab in BMS?

Yea its ok, sorted now the graphics are fine. But still cant find the manual or part of one of the manuals where it guides you through the training missions like you have in F4:AF.

Under “Legacy Manuals” you’ll find the Falcon 4.0 Original Manual. It contains a detailed description of every single training mission form the original simulator, I’m pretty sure that many of the instructions will prove relevant to our present state of the pilot training.

Ok yea i saw those, just thought there was an updated version for the BMS training missions along with the training missions in BMS that arent in F4 (e.g. the naval strike training mission, not in F4) but yea they’ll teach what i need to know, cheers.

Why don’t you simply use the “interactive traing”?

… click the “enable Training Script” button in the UI before you commit to a training TE .

                                  Cheers,

I saw that training script and had it active and went to try a mission and it just said a few things at the start and that was it. Anyway i still need to decide on what stick to get, think it needs to be a HOTAS and i wanna get Delan Clip for head tracking…but i gota wait as they’re on holiday till first week of september so they wont post anything till then. I’m sure i can learn it all fine with the F4 manual with those missions- and the other manuals to learn all the aspects, cheers all.
