I just downloaded and installed BMS 4.32 + v1-6 after being away from Falcon for about 5 years. The sim is certainly gorgeous but I have run into some problems which I never had before and I can’t find any similar problems in the Forums. I’m hoping that these are just common problems that someone can help me with. I am trying to use the QWERTY keys to communicate with the AI in the game and although the panels come up with commands, I can’t hear the chatter that should accompany the commands and response. All the other sounds in the sim seem normal. I have never had this problem in any other version of Falcon I have used. Also, when I am trying to engage another planes or ground targets and hit the override button for A-A or A-G, along with the dogfight and MRM commands, the MFD’s immediately turn off and won’t come back on until I back out of the override function. I am hoping someone will be able to help me with these problems and thanks for your help in advance!!!

MFD’s going blank might be a function of not setting up the DTC?

        (15:28 mark)

I dunno about the sound, but installing update 7 would be the next logical step.

Agree on the MFD’s …. they are not set up for the Master Mode(s), except as ‘Blank’. If you set them in the DTC and save them, they should retain your selections when you load the DTC.

Check volume knobs on Comm1 and Comm2 (Left forward panel). Check that you’re on up front controls (UFC on the CNI switch, on a panel in the left middle).

Left-click intercom button all the way up to ensure you have radio audio in your helmet.

Also, to communicate with those different, you usually have to be on their frequency.
Try UHF 307.30 which is the team frequency, or type in your airport tower frequency there.
The COM1 radio is the UHF radio.

Great call, guys!! I had never used the data cartridge before but I did some quick reading after I saw your posts today and loading the cartridge solved both problems. I should have known that Falcon would not get any less complicated. Now I have an even bigger problem and wonder if you can give me some advice. I noticed that many of the keystrokes have changed from the versions I played and many, including TMS, DMS, and others have no key mapped to them. What ways do you have to get around this? Do you just manually put in a new keystroke for these functions and then manually enter them into your joystick software or is there a way to map the functions without doing it manually? I noticed that in the joystick folder there is a file for Saitek and my joystick is an X45. How would you set up this file? Sorry for my ignorance, I have never changed a keystroke in Falcon and have always just manually put the keystrokes into my SST software. I really appreciate your help!!

You don’t even have to use the sst software, you can just go to the setup page and then click on the command you want to set, then press that button on the joystick.
