      Hi all,

Setting up another HOTAS and I’d like to use Kolbe’s keyfile (figuring it’s neat and comprehensive).

But… Kolbe’s keyfile presumes I have my HOTAS as USB1, my left MFD as USB2, and my right MFD as USB3. But my order is 1) LMFD 2)RMFD) 3)HOTAS.

What’s the easiest approach here? Change the keyfile? (assuming this, because I’ve not heard too positive reports about changing the USB device ID’s). How do I do that the easiest way?

For some reason, this didn’t work with my hotas.

For now, I’ve reverted to the keystrokes.key and just remapped the whole thing.
Maybe an interim solution might be changing the MFD and hotas bindings from Kolbe’s from within the UI, but that’s a big gamble.

Found this too, haven’t tested it:

          ====

          1. Unplug all devices from syste
          2. Plug-in the Mad Catz Andretti Whee
          3. Run the game controllers control pane
          4. Click the “Advanced” button and set the wheel as the preferred devic
          5. Unplug the whee
          6. Plug-in the USB Gravis GamePad Pr
          7. Run the game controllers control pane
          8. Click the “Advanced” button and set the USB GamePad Pr
            as the preferred devic
          9. Unplug the Gravis GamePad Pr
          10. Now plug-in the wheel, followed by the USB GamePad Pro

By setting both devices to preferred, we actually clear their previous I
settings. By replugging them in the desired order, i.e. wheel then GamePa
Pro, the wheel gets ID1 and the GamePad Pro gets ID2.
