      Hi All,

I’ve been trying to get back into Falcon lately, but on Windows 8.1, I can’t get the program not to crash once my wheels hit the ground. It just goes to desktop. I am running updated drivers, I’ve tried compatibility modes of Windows 7, Windows Vista, and Windows XP. I’ve tried playing with all the graphic settings (even turning them all down with no avail). I do have Falcon installed on an external hard drive. I am not sure if that is related. Here is the top of the crash log. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

      Adam

A quick update. I have uninstalled everything, and started installing the updates one by one. As soon as I install update 3 the crash starts happening. Everything is fine till that point. The crash log when only up to update 3 is installed is:

Have you tried using the all-in-one software….Base plus U1 thru U7…found in Arty’s Hotlist? There is no need to update one at a time.

Thanks for that tip. I did try that, tried the registry fix merge, and BMS worked alright for a few flights right after install (before a restart of the computer). Restarted, and the crashes kept happening. I am at a loss.

                Do you play with F18/14?

                Have you mods installed?

Thanks for the input. It seems the only way I have gotten the game landable is if I enabled F16’s only in the config program. It may not address the actual problem, but it seems to work for me. Not sure if that helps in any way with debugging.

What happens if you disable the “Fly F-16’s Only” option from the Falcon BMS configurator and then try to land an F-16?
