Korea knee board
-
I have followed the instructions to get knee boards installed in my game. When I select the action/append texture menu, the 8018 and 8019 files are empty. –- I did copy and paste them into the correct place [emoji31]. Any thoughts, or input from anyone would be much appreciated.
Thanks. -
Any input you say?
Use a physical kneeboard

Hahahaha. Good one. I actually do that already, I just wanted to try out the mod that’s all. [emoji9]

Mower – thanks for the links. I will try them out.

Good luck, Moosedog.
A couple of tips…
One tutorial I saw said do bother making a backup. DO make a backup. I got it working (legs only) and It messed up the graphics in the game. The only repair, if you don’t have a backup, is to uninstall and reinstall the entire BMS.
I hope you have more success seeing your cockpit switches then I did. Even with TrackIR, getting to the CMDS panel was a pain.
I gave up on that experiment. My Ipad has a Korea map and I print out the WDP datacard. -
I use the legs only and just look around them WITH MY TIR to see the panels etc.

I agree. Using real knee boards are just as effective. Print out WDP and Korea map on other leg. Situational Awareness is not effected because you still have to look down either way.

Tablets work great for this. I found ways to download the wdp images to my tablet along with any other charts I would like to have. I use a thin mdf board and put it across my lap with tablet on one side and mouse on other. Takes a little time to get used to but I feel naked without them now. The board doesn’t move much using rudder pedals so nothing falls off while flying. The iPad has a great app called good reader that works great for viewing and marking up PDFs. I’m sure there are ways to strap the tablet to your leg too if the board is too much.
